Half Blue: 14 awards maximum to all those who play in the Varsity Match, subs must have played for at least 5 minutes.
Full Blue: 14 awards maximum. Awarded to women who play in the Varsity Match AND fulfil any of the following criteria:
Full and half blue awards are made to those who:
12 Awards Maximum
Full Blues awarded to up to 12 players who compete in the Varsity match and in more than 50% of the BUCS matches, provided the team reaches the final 8 of BUCS. Half Blues awarded to the remaining members of the VM team.
If the team doesn’t reach the final 8 of BUCS but stays in the premier division, up to 8 full blues are awarded to players who compete in the Varsity match and in more than 50% of BUCS matches, 4 half blues are awarded to the remaining members of the Varsity team.
|Boat||9 Full Blue awards maximum, awarded to those who compete against Cambridge in the Blue Boat. 9 Half Blue awards maximum, awarded to those who compete against Cambridge in Osiris (the reserve crew).||Jan 2019|
|Boxing||3 Awards maximum, awarded at the Captain's and coaches discretion to athletes who compete in Varsity and have at least three full terms of boxing experience.||May 2018|
|Cross Country||7 Awards maximum, awarded to runners who finish in the top 8 at the VM, with Captain's discretion on the remaining places. Half Blues awarded to the rest of the blues team.||Nov 2020|

Full Blues are awarded to all members of the first team if they win the Varsity Match AND reach the top 4 in the BUCS championships. Full Blues can also be awarded to any member of the Varsity 1st team who is also either in the top 50 of the national rankings OR reaches the top 8 at BUCS OR scores over 700 points in a national open circuit competition OR is part of their country’s junior (U20) national team.
All starting members of the first team who are not awarded Full Blues will be awarded Half Blues if they have competed in at least half of the BUCS matches.
|Golf||6 Awards maximum, to players who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to the club throughout the season.
Full Blue to players with a handicap of 5 or below.
Half Blue to players with a handicap of 9 or below.
1st Team Colours for other members of the team.

Up to 16 Full Blues can be awarded at the captain’s discretion: 11 to the starting line-up and 5 to subs who play at least 5 minutes of the Varsity match. These individuals must have also played in at least half of the season’s league matches.
For anyone to be awarded Full Blues, the team must either: win the Varsity match, or make it through to the last 16 of the BUCS Cup, or finish in the top 4 of the BUCS Premier South League.
Up to 5 Full blues maximum awarded to those with a brown belt or higher who either:
5 Half Blues maximum to women, awarded to brown belts or higher who take part in either Kata or Kumite.
|Lacrosse||16 Awards maximum. Awarded if the team is placed in the L16 of BUCS OR wins the VM.||May 2018|
|Lawn Tennis||8 awards maximum, to players who play in the Varsity Match.||Jan 2019|
|Modern Pentathlon||6 Awards maximum.
Full Blues may be awarded to any Varsity team member scoring over 4240.
Half Blues may be awarded to any Varsity team member scoring over 3240.
10 Awards maximum, at the captain's discretion if team wins the VM and/or attains/maintains their position in BUCS League 1A or higher.
Maximum 10 Half Blues to be awarded to those players who are in the Blues squad for the Varsity Match, if the VM is lost and they do not attain/maintain their position in BUCS league 1A or higher.
19 Awards maximum, if the team either:
Subs must play for at least 5 mins.
|Sailing - Dinghy||
Half Blue: 9 awards maximum. Half Blues awarded, at the captain’s discretion to the members of the VM team.
Full Blue: 9 awards maximum, at the captain's discretion, to members of the VM team who have also competed on a team that reaches the semi-finals of the Ladies' BUCS or the quarterfinals of BUCS (open BUSA). If BUSA is cancelled due to poor weather, full blues may be awarded to women who win the Varsity match. Should a woman compete in the mixed team, they may be awarded a blue for competing in the mixed team if the team reaches the quarter-finals of the mixed BUSA and competes in the VM.
|Squash||5 Awards maximum, if the team maintains its position in the Premiership BUCS division or Midlands Division 1A.
Players must have participated in a third or more BUCS or Oxfordshire league fixtures for that season or have attained a top 8 ranking in the annual BUCS individual tournament. An application for Discretionary Full Blue may be brought to the committee if a top player fails to meet the criteria due to extraordinary circumstances.
|Swimming||Full Blues may be awarded to Varsity team members who achieve 585 FINA points for freestyle events of 560 FINA points for all other events throughout the season.
Half Blues may be awarded to other members of the pool Varsity team OR to those who compete in the Cross-Channel Varsity Match.
